NordicContacts data quality

Don't settle for a quality promise. See the results.

We publish the results of our own automated quality check exactly as they are — including when the check does not pass. See the latest result, its target group and all metrics below.

Quality at a glance

The three-month limit

You do not pay for contacts whose email was last seen more than three months ago.

Export-eligible emails outside the three-month limit: 0

Duplicate filtering

Each email address belongs to one contact only. Database-level uniqueness prevents the same address from being assigned to multiple contacts.

Duplicate contacts in the export target group: 0

Business email domains

Known consumer email services are excluded before delivery.

Consumer-domain emails in the export target group: 0

Direct work emails for named contacts

Known shared company mailboxes such as info@, sales@, and office@ are excluded from contact exports. You receive a named contact, not a general inbox.

Shared role inboxes in the export-eligible population: 0

Current contact–company link

An old registry entry alone does not show that the contact still works for the company.

Contacts without a recent official company register or company website source: 0

Responsibility class, not just title

Each contact is assigned to a managed responsibility area so targeting is not based on free-form titles.

Exportable contacts without a valid responsibility class: 0

Email format check

Every export-eligible address must pass an email format check so obvious typos never reach an export.

Malformed emails in the export target group: 0

What the check does not cover

  • The check is based on source observations — it is not a daily delivery test of every address.
  • The three-month limit concerns the age of the observation. It does not guarantee email delivery or a response.
  • The duplicate count covers active, export-eligible email contacts; deleted and otherwise non-exportable records are outside the check.
  • Only known consumer domains and shared mailboxes are filtered — detection does not cover every personal or shared address.

How the check works

From source to exportable contact in four steps

The check is performed daily by NordicContacts' own automated quality check — not an external certifier.

1

Sources are updated

Company web sources and current authority sources are refreshed.

2

Contact linked to current company

An old registry role alone is not enough to create an active contact.

3

Data is normalised and classified

Deduplication, consumer-domain filtering, shared-company-mailbox filtering, responsibility areas and company keywords are applied.

4

Export eligibility is checked daily

Contacts that break the rules are removed from customer-facing active data for correction.

Targeting

Industry alone is not enough

Official industry tells you the company’s main class. Keywords and responsibility areas refine it.

Industry: Manufacturing

Activity: contract manufacturing for the food industry; responsibility: finance

Frequently asked questions

Why does the contact count in this page differ from the homepage?

The data quality figure counts contacts with an export-eligible email address. The homepage total counts contacts with an email address or a phone number.

What does checked within three months mean?

It means the email address and the contact’s current connection to the company have been observed in a source within the past three months. The check runs daily, but it is not a daily delivery test of every address.

Does the check guarantee that every email is delivered?

No. The check measures data freshness, not future deliverability. Contacts, companies and email systems change, so bounces and removals are handled as part of the campaign process.

How are duplicates defined?

Each email address belongs to only one active contact. We check this every day to ensure the data delivered to customers contains no duplicates.

Why are there no Gmail or Hotmail addresses?

Gmail, Hotmail and other consumer email addresses are personal and do not reliably establish a contact’s current connection to a company. Sending B2B messages to personal addresses also increases the risk of spam complaints. This can damage the sender’s reputation and lead to messages being filtered or the sender being blocklisted. We therefore exclude known consumer email domains from the data delivered to customers.

How is old authority data filtered out?

Authority data can contain email addresses that are decades old. We never use an email address solely because it appears in authority data—even if it is still present in the authority’s latest output. An address is included only if the same address has been found within the past three months in an actively updated source, such as the company’s own website.

What is the difference between a title and a responsibility area?

A title is shown as found on the company’s website. A responsibility area normalises different titles into a single targetable category, such as finance, sales or IT.

What are company keywords and how do they differ from industry?

Industry is the official classification. Keywords describe what the company actually does, sells or provides, such as contract manufacturing, packaging solutions or cloud services.

What happens if data does not pass the daily check?

A failing result triggers an operational alert and the strong public claim is hidden. The affected contact is removed from customer-facing active data until the issue is corrected.

Does the quality promise apply to Excel, MCP and the REST API equally?

Yes. The promise applies to the same active, export-eligible contacts in browser search, Excel downloads, MCP and the REST API.

Do contact exports include addresses such as info@ or sales@?

No. These are shared company mailboxes rather than direct addresses for a named contact. NordicContacts excludes them from the active contact data delivered through browser search, Excel, REST API, and MCP. This filtering does not guarantee future email delivery or a response.
